I am an engaging and entertaining speaker. I am quick-witted and hilarious. I have taught classes, hosted events, and given keynote speeches. I have spoken at libraries, conferences, universities, book clubs, live comedy events, and more.

Here are just a few examples:

Keynote/Hostess – I share my origin story. I was a work from home mom who blogged on the side and I had a blog post go viral. In 24 hours I had over 1 million reads. I was able to capitalize on that viral blog post and turn it into a full-time writing career and a 2 book deal with Ballantine (Penguin Random House).

Building Your Writer Platform – with over 1 million followers on social media, I have a lot of information that I can share with authors about growing their own platform while still working on that book. Whether you're self published or traditionally published, you will need a platform to help you reach and connect with your audience.

So You Have Written a Book. Now What? – Many think that writing the book is the hardest part, but it's not. Now it's time to figure out how you're going to get it published. Is traditional or self-publishing for you? I've done both and so I can help attendees navigate the pros and cons of both and help them determine which path is right for them.

Is It Funny Yet? – I am a humor writer, but humor works well in all genres. I give attendees tips and tricks to “funny up” their writing and make their readers laugh and turn the page.

How to Write Narrative Nonfiction – Many times true stories are better than fiction, you just need to know how to tell them. I consider myself a storyteller and I can teach attendees how to write nonfiction stories that read as easily as fiction.
